AROUNDS LLC (“Arounds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information through our iOS application (the “App”).

The App is a hyper-local intelligence platform that enables independent curators to create and share specialized collections (“Curations”) of Properties, Places, Events, News, Businesses, and other miscellaneous items. We collect minimal information, do not require account creation, and do not track personal information or user location. This policy complies with applicable U.S. privacy laws and best practices.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimal information necessary to operate the App:

• No Personal Information: The App does not require account creation and does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or payment details.
• Location Information: We do not track or store your location. If you enable location services to view proximity estimates (e.g., distance to places or points of interest), this data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to or stored by AROUNDS LLC.
• Non-Personal / Anonymized Information: We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data such as the number of users, frequency of Curation views, or general interaction patterns. This data does not identify you and is used solely to improve the App.
• Curator-Provided Content: Content in Curations is provided voluntarily by independent curators. This content is not considered personal information about App users.

2. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

• Operate and maintain the App’s functionality;
• Display curator-created Curations;
• Provide proximity estimates via mapping services (when you enable location services);
• Analyze anonymized usage data to improve the App’s performance and user experience.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell, trade, or share personal information because we do not collect any. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with:

• Service Providers: Third-party vendors (such as analytics or hosting providers) that help us operate and improve the App. These providers are contractually required to protect the data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, anonymized data may be transferred as part of the transaction.

4. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services, including mapping and location providers (such as Apple Maps). Your interactions with these third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not control or access location data processed by these third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data we collect (primarily anonymized usage data) from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

Because we do not collect personal information or track user location, we have no personal data to retain. Anonymized usage data is kept only as long as necessary to improve the App or comply with legal obligations.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has used the App, we will take appropriate steps to delete any associated data.

8. Your Choices

• Location Services: You can disable location services in your device settings at any time. This will prevent proximity features from working but will not affect other App functionality.
• Analytics: Because we only collect anonymized data, there is no personal information to opt out of. You may stop using the App if you prefer not to contribute to usage analytics.

9. International Users

The App is operated from the United States and is governed by U.S. law. If you access the App from outside the United States, you acknowledge that any data processed will be transferred to and stored in the United States.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting the revised version in the App. We will notify users of material changes via an in-App notice when possible. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
